SMS Program Terms

How text messaging works at AVID Esq Group LLC — who receives messages, how consent is given, and how to stop them at any time.

Who sends these messages

AVID Esq Group LLC is an estate planning, probate and business law firm located at 4365 E Pecos Rd, STE 121, Gilbert, AZ 85295. Our office telephone number, and the number these messages come from, is (480) 805-4357.

What messages we send

This is a customer-care program only. We send:

  • Our office address and driving directions, when a caller asks for them
  • Confirmations for consultations and appointments you have booked with us
  • A reminder before a scheduled appointment
  • A video-meeting link for a remote appointment
  • A reply to a specific question or request you raised on the phone

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Not to clients, not to prospective clients, and not to anyone who has opted in to this program.

How you opt in

Consent is given verbally, during a telephone call that you place to our office. There is no web form, no paper form, no QR code and no text keyword for this program, and we never send messages to phone numbers obtained from purchased lists, rented lists, referral partners or any other outside source. The only way your number enters this program is that you called us and said yes.

After you have asked for something a text would satisfy, or booked an appointment, the person answering your call — a member of our staff, or our automated answering assistant, both reading the same fixed script — will ask:

"Would you like to receive a text from AVID Esq Group at the number you're calling from with [the address / your appointment confirmation]? Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out."

Only callers who say yes are enrolled. Your yes is recorded against your contact record, along with the date and who took it, so each consent can be traced to a specific call.

Consent is always optional

Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of receiving legal services from us, and it is not required in order to book, keep or reschedule an appointment. If you decline, or simply do not answer the question, we will not text you. You will still be able to do everything by phone or email exactly as before.

Message frequency, and cost

Message frequency varies — it depends entirely on what you asked for and whether you have an appointment scheduled. Most people receive only a handful of messages. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message from us and you will be unsubscribed immediately, with nothing further sent. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. If you change your mind later, reply START to resubscribe.

How to get help

Reply HELP to any message and we will send back our phone number, email address and office hours. You can also reach us directly at (480) 805-4357 or aaron@avidesq.com, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time.

Your privacy

Mobile information collected in connection with SMS communications is never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes, and is used solely to deliver the messages you requested. Our full SMS privacy terms are in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy, and our general Terms & Conditions also apply.

One thing text messaging is not for

Please do not use text messages to send us confidential or time-sensitive information about your legal matter, and do not rely on a text to meet a deadline. Text messaging is not a secure channel and is not monitored outside office hours. Sending us a text does not create an attorney-client relationship.
